Intro

Hi, I’m Josie – eternal optimist, avid traveller, beauty lover, and copywriter. 

A previous long-time London resident, I recently relocated to Devon to fulfil my dreams of living by the sea. While I’d love to spend all of my time gazing out at the waves, I also enjoy reading (dystopian fiction will always pique my interest), playing netball, planning my next trip, and hanging out with my two incredibly fluffy house bunnies – they like to nap while I work, and have been mistaken for slippers by those on the other end of a video call.

I’ve worked as a Copywriter and Content Editor for over 12 years. In that time, I’ve led content teams for Cult Beauty, Selfridges and QVC UK, and written for clients such as Boden, Crabtree & Evelyn and Recharge.

While I can turn my hand to almost anything (for example, video games and finance aren’t interests of mine, but I write about them every month for Recharge), my favourite topics include: beauty, wellness, health and fitness, travel, apparel, accessories, homeware and interiors.

Content strategy  –  innovative content ideas that get their attention across websites, blogs and social channels.

Branding  –  crafting that just-right brand statement or tagline, tone of voice, style guide or a brand-led campaign.

Marketing copy  –  must-open emails with high click-through rates, scroll-stopping organic and paid social and authoritative SEO blogs.

E-commerce and UX copy  –  connect with customers through informative product descriptions, enticing landing pages and an on-brand homepage. Plus, make sure their journey runs smoothly with succinct site copy.

Editing  –  whipping anything you want into shape grammatically and structurally.
